Why is it important to send pictures in order to receive a quote?

Each person is different and has different necessities, body types, condition of the skin, and overall may not be a candidate for the same procedures. Taking pictures for some patients may be a little nerve-racking since they don’t feel comfortable exposing themselves, however, they are crucial so the Doctor can properly evaluate the patient and be able to send them a quote that is specifically for them. It is important to state that these pictures being sent are only reviewed by the treating surgeon and his or her patient coordinator, and are solely for consultation purposes.

Not all patients are a candidate for the same procedure or the procedure at all, which is why it is important to submit them. This will help avoid quoting patients for the wrong procedure, which is a waste of time of the person, having them think they will be able to proceed in having something that they are not in fact a candidate for, or they are but need an extension of it, for example with Tummy Tuck’s, there are different kinds, they differ in the extension of the incision, so for instance if you don’t send pictures and are quoted for the correct kind of Tummy Tuck and when you arrive you end up needing a different one which costs more money and if you count with that additional money knowing that the procedure you paid for will not give you the results you are looking for, which will be very upsetting, and something that we want to ultimately avoid.

This goes for all procedures, Breast Enhancements, Liposuctions, Tummy Tuck, Rhinoplasty, Face Lift, etc. It is also crucial to make sure and asses yourself about your surgeon and the site you aboard, it is of the upmost importance to always check credentials and be certain the Doctor you pick is legitimate and certified.

There are different ways to take pictures, depending on the procedure.

FACIAL SURGERIES (RHINOPLASTY, FACE LIFT, OTOPLASTY)

Photos should be taken from top of the head to just below the neck with collar bones visible. Facial features should be relaxed. Not smiling or frowning, just in a relaxed natural position. Keep the camera angle straightforward. Do not angle down or up, as this will also create an unnatural position/view of the facial features.

We would need a total of 4 pictures, (Front, Sides -left and right-, and looking up).

BREAST (MID AREA) (BREAST LIFT, BREAST AUGMENTATION, BREAST REDUCTION, ARM LIFT, AND BACK LIFT)

Pictures should be taken from just below the neck with shoulders visible to just above the belly button. Hands and arms should not be raised as this lifts the breasts to an unnatural position. Hands can rest on your hips with elbows bent naturally to the sides. Stay as relaxed as possible for the best outcome.

Keep the camera angle straightforward. Do not angle down or up, as this will also create an unnatural position/view of the breasts.

As for Arm Lift, front and back with arms extended.

We would need a total of 3 pictures, (Front and sides – side left and side right).

BODY (TUMMY TUCK, THIGH LIFT, LIPOSUCTION, BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT)

Pictures should be taken from just below your chin to your feet. The entire torso area should be visible with no underwear covering the area to be examined. Hands and arms should not be lifted as it leaves the abdomen to an unnatural position. Do not “suck in” the abdomen as this also creates an unnatural position. Inhale and exhale out to completely relax your abdomen. Hands can rest on your hips with elbows bent naturally to the sides. Stay as relaxed as possible for the best outcome.

Keep the camera angle straightforward. Do not turn the angle down or up, as this will also create an unnatural position/view of the abdomen area.

A total of 8 images/views are needed: 1 front view shot, 2 quarter front turn shots, 2 side views, 2 quarter back shots, and 1 full-back shot.
